Save the Date for Center for Autism and Related Disabilities’ Autumn Moonlight Gala
Save the date for the University of Miami – Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism and Related Disabilities’ (UM-NSU CARD) upcoming Autumn Moonlight fall gala.
The Nov. 18 event will be held at Specialty Automotive Treatments, 700 West Sunrise Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. This event is held to raise money so CARD can continue to help individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities, their families, and the professionals who serve them at no cost to them.
CARD provides these free services to more than 5,500 families throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties. Services include family support, technical assistance and consultation, parent and professional training programs, and public education activities. The center also supports research in a variety of disciplines to better understand the causes and potential treatments for the disorder.
Last year’s Autumn Moonlight event raised $85,000 to support CARD’s free programs and services. There are a few ways to contribute, whether it is buying tickets to attend the event, through Underwriting Opportunities, or through the silent auction.
NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education is a partner sponsor of UM-NSU CARD. For more information on the event and how you can be part of it, please visit www.cardautumnmoonlight.org.
