SAAC Raises Funds For Make-A-Wish Foundation
During the weekends of Oct. 6 and Oct. 13, the Nova Southeastern University Student-Athlete Athletic Committee (SAAC) sent volunteers to Cooper City, Florida to assist in raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The NCAA Division-II established a national alliance with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a global charity that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
The NSU SAAC obtained almost 2,000 signatures and helped to donate approximately $2,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. SAAC had representation from women’s basketball, men and women’s swimming and diving, softball, men and women’s track and field, and cross country during those two weekends.
