Rowing Varsity-8 Named Valic Boat of the Week

The Nova Southeastern rowing varsity-8 has been named Valic Boat of the Week by the Sunshine State Conference.

The NSU eight was the lone SSC boat to advance to the “A” final at the SIRA Championships in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The Sharks finished fourth with a time of 6:38.50, finishing behind three Division I crews in the field, and just four seconds behind winner George Washington.

The eight boat was comprised of: coxswain Amanda Hudon (Fr., Sebastian, Fla.), Lauren Boudreau (Sr., Waterford, N.Y.),Tori Torrisi (Fr.), Stephanie Hauck (Jr., Somers Point, N.J.), Amanda Craig (So., Berlin, N.J.), Taylor Van Horn (Cape Coral, Fla.), Kelly Scott (So., Hobe Sound, Fla..),  Sarah Patterson (Sr., Winter Park, Fla.) and Camille Evans (So., Orlando, Fla.).

The Sharks also participated in the  2013 Sunshine State Conference Rowing Championship in Sarasota, Fla. on April 26. Complete Release
