NSU Rowing Team Helps Restore Local Middle School

The Nova Southeastern rowing team participated in a day of service this past weekend to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The Sharks united with over 1,000 other volunteers in a restoration project for Madison Middle School in Miami. This effort, the largest MLK Day 2013 project in South Florida, was coordinated by City Year Miami.

“We were excited about this opportunity to give back to our community and work with our fellow South Floridians,” said head coach Stephen Frazier Wong. “It was humbling to see so many people come out to this service even.” Complete Release
