Research Paper Co-Authored by GSCIS & Business School Professors Accepted into Prestigious Journal
A paper by Yair Levy, Ph.D., associate professor at the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences, Michelle M. Ramim, Ph.D., part-time professor at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and Raymond Hackney, professor of business systems at Brunel University, has been accepted into the Journal of Computer Information Systems (JCIS).
In the paper titled, “Assessing Ethical Severity of e-Learning Systems Security Attacks,” the authors investigate students’ perceptions of ethical severity related to five common information security attacks in the context of e-learning based on gender, age, and academic rank (undergraduate/graduate). The paper presents the results of quantitative analysis based on over 500 records and a follow up study of qualitative analysis. The paper will be published in the upcoming issue of the JCIS.
Since 1964 the JCIS has been the forum for International Association of Computer Information Systems members and other information systems and business professionals to present their research and ideas. The JCIS acceptance rate is 12-13 percent.
