Rep. Wasserman Schultz Participates in University School’s Jewish American Heritage Month Celebration

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently participated in a Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) assembly with nearly 500 Middle School students from University School of NSU.

May 2010 is the fifth annual month-long celebration marking the achievements and contributions that Jewish Americans have made and continue to make in American culture and society.

Students at University School formed a Jewish American Heritage club two years ago to promote the month-long celebration.

The first Jewish American Heritage Month was established by Presidential Proclamation in 2006 following the unanimous passage in the House of Representatives of legislation introduced by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
