NSU’s Office of Regional Campuses has undertaken an initiative to establish advisory boards for seven regional campuses to help with outreach, experiential learning for our students, alumni engagement and donor cultivation in the different communities each regional campus represent.  As such, NSU recently hosted the West Palm Beach and Miami Advisory Boards on the Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus.

The goal is to introduce the board to the range, scope and size of NSU and impact we are having in research, teaching and service throughout all areas of the University in an effort to identify ways the university can have greater impact in the communities where they are based and where we have regional campuses.

“It is important for the regional campus advisory board members to visit the Fort Lauderdale/Davie Campus and learn about the different programs at NSU in the areas of research, academics and other services. This is important because we want the board members to understand that NSU is not just one standalone building in Miami or Palm Beach with good academic programs but they see these campuses as part a bigger organization that is growing and doing great things in so many areas.” – Ricardo Belmar.

“The Regional Campus Advisory boards are made up of strong community leaders. We hope they can help identify ways NSU can be more supportive of the business community’s needs while building awareness and support for NSU. ”- Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson.
