Realizing Potential: NSU Students Join Dr. Hanbury and NSU Trustee Steve Halmos in Making a Case to Support NSU’s Future
Six students provided moving video testimonials to help launch the largest philanthropic campaign in the history of Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and Broward County: Daniel Bral, College of Osteopathic Medicine; Rebecca Nosal, Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography; Olivier Boulin, H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship; Rebecca Urrutia, College of Health Care Sciences; Kerry Valdez, Shepard Broad College of Law; and Annie Nguyen, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, student worker for NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, and NSU University School alumna.
Realizing Potential – The Campaign for Nova Southeastern University – aims to raise $250 million for students, faculty, and 21st century education initiatives. Another $300 million will come from sponsored research, for a total sum of more than half a billion dollars in external funding for the only doctoral research institution based in Broward County. Both efforts are part of the university’s drive toward Vision 2020.
NSU launched the public phase of Realizing Potential at the 2016 Celebration of Excellence after surpassing the midpoint of our philanthropic campaign goal—$125 million.
With your support, NSU will develop the next generation of leaders, champion leading-edge research and innovative curricula, and expand the reach of exemplary programs and partnerships to better serve our communities. Realizing the potential of our students, faculty members, researchers, and centers for learning and culture means finding cures; creating treatments; enriching lives; and developing researchers, inventors, clinicians, administrators, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers, marine biologists, and cyber security experts.
