Realizing Potential: Every Day is a Gift
Linda Niessen was recruited to Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) as Dean of the College of Dental Medicine in October of 2013 while working as the Chief Clinical Officer for a dental manufacturing company in York, Pennsylvania. She had spent 10 years prior as a professor at Baylor College of Dentistry (now the Texas A&M University College of Dentistry) and 10 years as a hospital dentist.
Linda was not only impressed with NSU’s beautiful campus but with the incredibly friendly staff, faculty and students. She knew right away she was going to be proud of working for an institution with strong core values that so directly reflected her own.
She immediately began to get involved in the dental student life on campus by attending student government meetings and listening to their needs and concerns. She wanted to help them achieve the goals that brought them to NSU.
