Wear your Shark Gear on Spirit Friday, Aug. 31!
As new undergraduate students move into Residence Halls on August 17, the university kicks off Weeks of Welcome (WOW) programs which begin on Aug. 17 and culminate with Convocation on Sept. 4. They are designed to welcome and engage new and returning students by providing fun, entertaining and informative programs during the first weeks of school. Imagine a Welcome Home party that lasts more than two weeks. That’s what the Weeks of Welcome—aka WOW—at NSU is all about.
One program created for WOW is “NSU Spirit Day,” which encourages students to show their school spirit by wearing NSU gear.

We encourage ALL NSU faculty and staff members to join our students in outward displays of pride and spirit by wearing departmental or personal NSU gear on NSU Spirit Days: Aug. 24 and Aug. 31.
As you know, NSU faculty and staff receive a 15% discount on all apparel from the NSU Bookstore. However, from Aug. 13 – 26 the NSU Bookstore is offering a 25% discount on all short sleeved and long sleeved tees!
Chartwells is participating by offering specials on Spirit Days for students and employees wearing NSU gear.
Aug. 24 – Receive Free Smoothie sampler from the Juiceblendz Mobile Blending Unit in front of the Taft University Center
Aug. 31 – Purchase $0.99 Papa John’s slice of pizza in the Taft UC Food Court and at HPD.
