The Qualitative Report Becomes the World’s First Weekly Qualitative Research Journal
Nova Southeastern University (NSU), a recognized leader in innovative higher education solutions, announced The Qualitative Report (TQR), a journal published by NSU since 1990, has became the world’s first weekly online qualitative research serial. With its 52 weeks-a-year cycle, TQR, one of world’s oldest online qualitative research journals, can now release more peer-reviewed articles annually making it possible for its authors’ works to be read by the public at an accelerated pace. This advancement also allowed TQR editorial leadership team to merge the journal with its weekly newsletter counterpart resulting in a ground-breaking publication that not only distributes peer-reviewed articles and reviews to its over 5,400 subscribers world-wide, but also presents its readers with the latest news on qualitative research, collaborative design, and mobile research technology innovations, opportunities, and employment.
“Since 2009, we have seen a 41% increase in the number of new manuscripts authors have submitted to TQR” said Ron Chenail, TQR Editor-in-Chief, “so publishing TQR every week means producing more, better articles sooner for our authors and readers!”
Besides publishing TQR, Nova Southeastern University also hosts an annual qualitative research conference each January and offers an online graduate certificate in qualitative research.
