Professors of International Business Praised for Scholarly Contributions

Ruth Clarke, Ph.D., Ramdas Chandra, Ph.D., and Baiyun Gong, Ph.D., professors of International Business at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, presented their coauthored paper at the Academy of Management (AOM) annual conference in Montreal, Canada during August. The paper was titled “A Note on Bicultural Identity Integration and Social Capital Creation by Immigrant Entrepreneurs.”

The AOM is a leading professional association for scholars dedicated to creating and disseminating knowledge about management and organizations. Founded in 1936 by two professors, the AOM is the oldest and largest scholarly management association in the world. The AOM conference in Montreal had over 10,000 attendees. Papers undergo rigorous scholarly review for acceptance.

In addition, David Cohen, adjunct faculty member at the Huizenga Business School, teamed up with Clarke to coauthor and publish a case study in the Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies. The case was titled “Sierra Pacific Resources Implements a Merger.”
