Industry Professionals Meet with Middle School Students for Career Connections Event
Industry professionals during the 6th annual Middle School Career Connections
NSU University School eighth grade students enjoyed making connections with industry professionals during the 6th annual Middle School Career Connections event. More than 50 USchool parents and alumni, NSU professors, and other working professionals participated in panel discussions that addressed a number of questions including why they love what they do, what factors contributed to their success, and what students can do now to prepare themselves for the future.
Students also had an opportunity to ask questions and speak directly to the panel that represented industries including Healthcare, Engineering, Law, Marketing, Athletics, Business, Hospitality, and more! The Career Connections event is a culminating event for eighth grade students that builds on the career education activities that take place in sixth and seventh grades.
