Powerful Drama “Doubt: A Parable” runs through Oct. 9
The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts will open its 2011–2012 Premier Series with performances of Doubt: A Parable at NSU, Sept. 30–Oct. 9.
Performances will take place on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m., in the Black Box Theatre of the college’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award, John Patrick Shanley’s powerful drama revolves around Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, who takes matters into her own hands when suspecting the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.
Admission to Doubt: A Parable is free, but tickets are required. To reserve seats, call the division box office at (954) 262-8179 or email nsutheatre@nova.edu.
Each year, the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts presents outstanding theatrical, musical, and dance productions. These performances serve as co-curricular opportunities for students to gain practical experience, and provide the NSU community with a local resource for educational and entertaining presentations.
