Physical Therapy Alumnus to Participate in London Olympics
Howie Layne, MPT, DPT, an alumnus of the physical therapy program at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Health Care Sciences will be going to London for the 2012 Olympics. Layne, who has operated a physical therapy clinic in Davie for 13 years, applied to be a physical therapist for the Olympics two years ago. After several applications and an interview, he was selected by the London organizing committee to be a physical therapist at the games. He is assigned to the basketball venue and will be working with women and men’s basketball teams from any country. Layne is volunteering his time and services to the Olympics.
