Seeking Submissions for Photo Exhibit Featuring Disasters and Recovery, Deadline Aug. 24
Nova Southeastern University’s Institute for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness (IDEP) invites you to submit photos to be displayed as part of a photo exhibit that will be featured in September. The exhibit, which will be on display on main campus, will be a component of the activities being organized for National Preparedness Month.
Sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Preparedness Month encourages individuals to take simple steps to prepare their homes, schools, workplaces and communities for emergencies such as natural disasters and potential terrorist attacks. To highlight the importance of disaster preparedness, IDEP is requesting the submission of photos depicting disasters, recovery efforts, resilience, and the human element. Photos can be emailed using Jpeg files to Kristi Messer at km1320@nova.edu. A short description of the photo of less than 60 words should accompany each photo.
By sending IDEP photos, you are consenting to the use of the photos for NSU’s Preparedness Month photo exhibit. Your photos will help us to illustrate the importance of being prepared for any emergency.
The submission deadline is Aug. 24. If you have questions, please call 954-262-1072.
