Pharmacy Student Receives National Pharmacy Student Scholarship Award

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation announced the 2010 recipients of the NACDS Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship Awards. The foundation awarded 58 scholarships to pharmacy students representing 39 colleges and schools of pharmacy, totaling $190,000. According to NACDS, among the 2010 recipients of the awards were eight students chosen to receive named scholarships that honor distinguished pharmacy leaders and companies that share the NACDS Foundation’s commitment to education, research, and charitable work. Gabriella Blyumin, a third-year NSU College of Pharmacy student, received the Edmond Fougera Scholarship.
“As a pharmacist, it is an honor to award these scholarships to deserving pharmacy students,” said NACDS Foundation President Edith A. Rosato, RPh, IOM. “These students embody the hopes and dreams of every pharmacist, and are a testament to the future health and well-being of patients they will serve.”
