Pharmacy Student Makes Poster Presentation at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Conference
Khyati Desai, Class of 2011, from the International Program at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Pharmacy, recently presented a poster during the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Conference in Washington D.C. The title of her poster presentation was, “Development of Epinephrine Nanoparticles Using Chitosan for the Treatment of Anaphylaxis.”
Khyati Desai worked as a research assistant in the lab of Mutasem Rawas-Qalaji, Ph.D., assistant professor at the college’s department of pharmaceutical sciences from 2009 to 2011. This poster is her second research contribution with Rawas-Qalaji. The first poster was presented last year during the 13th Canadian Society for Pharmaceutical Science (CSPS) Annual Symposium in Vancouver, Canada held between Jun. 2 and 5.
The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) is the largest association for pharmaceutical scientists in U.S. and its annual conference is well attended by pharmaceutical scientists from around the world.
