Pharmacy Professor Chosen as Fellow of the American Heart Association
Anastasios (Tassos) Lymperopoulos, MSc, Ph.D.,, FAHA, assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy’s Dept. of Pharmaceutical Sciences, was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Heart Association (AHA). The honor given to distinguished faculty that who AHA members. Lymperopoulos has the privilege of carrying the honorary for the rest of his career. It recognizes his research work, scientific merit, and service to AHA.
“It’s a recognition of all my work and research in the cardiovascular field over the past seven years now, and a great acknowledgment by the American Heart Association of me as a successful and leading cardiovascular scientist in the U.S. and of my contributions to the field of cardiovascular research worldwide,” he said. “It’s also a huge honor and a great testament of respect by my peers to me as a scientist.”
