NSU’s West Palm Beach Student Educational Center sponsored Palm Beach Lakes Community High School’s annual Teacher Academy Senior Banquet, held on May 12.  The banquet celebrates the graduating seniors and their completion of the Magnet Program Education Curriculum.

The Teacher Academy is designed to prepare students for a career in the teaching profession and to encourage them to explore their talents and interests through participation in hands-on experience in a variety of educational settings.  Upon completion of college, the students are guaranteed a teaching position in the Palm Beach County School District.

The banquet was attended by more than 60 people. As sponsors, NSU’s West Palm Beach SEC provided a donation for the banquet and cords for graduation day.  Gift bags were also provided. LaDorne Brannen, assistant director at the West Palm Beach SEC, was in attendance to congratulate the seniors.
