PA Student commissioned as US Air Force Lieutenant

Benjamin Brown, first year student in the Physician Assistant Program in Orlando, was recently commissioned into the Biomedical Sciences Corps of the United States Air force as a reserve officer.  The commissioning officer, Major (Ret.) Dave Kotun of the United States Air Force conducted the simple ceremony in one of the classrooms in front of the American flag dedicated by the NSU Orlando Physician Assistant class of 2012 to commemorate the military history of physician assistant origins.

Classmates and faculty members attended the ceremony which was a solemn and dignified event.

Brown will graduate from the PA program in August 2014.
