OT Students Participate in Developmental Screenings
Twenty students from the Nova Southeastern University’s Master of Occupational Therapy program at the College of Health Care Sciences participated in developmental screenings at NSU’s Mailman Segal Center for Human Development on Jan. 24. Eighteen children between the ages of 2 and 3 participated in the screening activities, which included fine motor, gross motor, self-care, and language activities. Both the children and the students had a great time and learned from each other. The developmental screenings occur twice a year; once in the fall semester and once in the winter semester. For more information, please contact Sonia Kay, Ph.D., OTR/L, assistant professor of occupational therapy at the College of Health Care Sciences at 954-262-1290.
