Optometry Dean Honored by Miami’s Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Optometrist Stephen Morris, O.D., NSU College of Optometry Dean David Loshin, O.D., Ph.D., FAAO, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools District Director Deborah Montilla were honored by Miami’s Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired at the organization’s Music Under the Stars fundraiser.

Optometrist Stephen Morris, O.D., NSU College of Optometry Dean David Loshin, O.D., Ph.D., FAAO, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools District Director Deborah Montilla were honored by Miami’s Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired at the organization’s Music Under the Stars fundraiser.

NSU College of Optometry Dean David Loshin, O.D., Ph.D., FAAO, was among three community leaders honored by Miami’s Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired at the organization’s recent Music Under the Stars fundraiser. Loshin was selected for his and NSU’s commitment to training optometrists who help the organization provide eye examinations to underserved children through the Florida Heiken Children’s Vision Program.

Loshin thanked the crowd for this wonderful honor and pledged NSU Optometry’s continued commitment to serve the vision needs of children in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
