O’Mahony Qualifies as Alternate for U.S. Amateurs

NSU golfer Hunter O’Mahony  a rising sophomore, has qualified as an alternate for the upcoming 2013 U.S. Amateur Championships, at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass on Aug. 12-18. O’Mahony finished third in his sectional, shooting a two-round score of 141 at the PGA National Golf Club Fazio Course in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He will be looking to make his second straight appearance at the U.S. Amateurs, having competed prior to his freshman season with the Sharks. At that prestigious event, held at the Cherry Hills Country Club in Cherry Hills Village, Colo., O’Mahony carded a two-round score of 158 (76-82). Complete Release
