Office of Research and Technology Transfer Appoints Director of Sponsored Programs
After a nation-wide search, Cathy Harlan, M.P.A., B.S., CRA, GPC, has been selected for the position of Director of Sponsored Programs in the Office of Research and Technology Transfer. In this position, she will work collaboratively with Deans, faculty, the Office of Technology Transfer, the Office of Clinical Research, and the Grant Writing Laboratory to enhance the infrastructure that supports sponsored funding for research and scholarship.
One of Harlan’s primary responsibilities will be to support the President’s Vision 2020 research goals by supporting faculty development through comprehensive grant administration.
Harlan earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida and her Master of Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a Certified Grants Professional and Certified Research Administrator, has more than 17 years of experience in various aspects of sponsored programs, most recently, six years with NSU’s Office of Sponsored Programs.
