Occupational Therapy-Tampa Faculty Receives State Association Award
Mirtha Whaley, Ph.D., OTR/L a faculty member at the Department of Occupational Therapy in Tampa, was recently recognized by her peers and provided with the Louise Samson Leadership Award at the Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) Annual Conference in Orlando. The conference theme was “Engaging Lives Throughout the Lifespan.”
This award is the highest honor our State Association can bestow on an occupational therapist in Florida. It acknowledges a practitioner who has developed his/her leadership capacity to serve the profession, FOTA and the community; and whose leadership skills have contributed to supporting the Association’s mission.
