NSU’s Varsity Four Picks up First SSC Boat of the Week Honor

The Nova Southeastern varsity four boat has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Boat of the Week for Apr. 23, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Apr. 23.

The Sharks won the SIRA Women’s Varsity Four Open category with a time of 7:31.7. Racing against five other boats in the Grand Final, NSU beat the second place, NCAA Division-I school Kansas State by four seconds. This is the first time in NSU history that the varsity four brought home a victory in the open four category, beating the 28 other boats that entered the event.

Racing for the Sharks was: coxswain Heather Clayton (Mullica Township, N.J.), Stephanie Hauck (Somers Point, N.J.), Amanda Craig (Berlin, N.J.), Megan O’Donnell (Lake Worth, Fla.), and Sarah Patterson (Winter Park, Fla.). Click here to see the complete release.
