NSU’s Varsity Eight Garners Third SSC Boat of the Week Honor
The Nova Southeastern varsity eight boat has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Boat of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday, Apr. 16.
The Sharks won the FIRA Women’s Varsity Eight State Championship with a time of 7:15.2. Racing against six other boats, NSU beat second-place Emory by 8.5 seconds and Florida by 9.6 to win its second state championship in as many years.
The Sharks also won the following races: the varsity eight, junior varsity eight, pair, junior varsity four, freshmen/novice four and varsity four to capture the All Points and Women’s trophies. Click here to read the complete release.
