The Deadline is Quickly Approaching to Complete the NSU’s Title IX Training: Preventing Discrimination and Harassment, Deadline: Dec. 10
Recently, you received notice from President Hanbury describing the mandatory Title IX training for all full-time and part-time faculty, staff, and other identified employees. You have until December 10, 2017, to complete the training. If you do not complete the training by then, this will be part of the FY18 performance review process. In addition, HR Contacts will be able to review reports to monitor compliance with this Presidential and legal mandate.
To launch this training, log in to Sharklink and access the Shark Talent Management Suite link from the Applications tab, then locate the training item in the My Training box on the Shark Talent Welcome Page. The course is titled:
• For supervisors/managers- Intersections: Supervisor Anti-Harassment & Title IX
• For all other employees- Intersections: Preventing Harassment & Sexual Violence
A new window will open up as you enter the training program (be sure to allow popups for your browser). The training will take 1-2 hours to complete. You may want to close other windows and programs on your computer while completing the training as interruptions will pause the progress of the program. The program saves your progress as you go, so you do not need to complete it in one sitting.
Nova Southeastern University is committed to ensuring that we provide a safe campus environment for all of our students to be able to learn, free from discrimination. In compliance with President Hanbury’s directive as well as federal laws (Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, the Higher Education Act of 1965, and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013), all NSU employees are required to complete this training to understand how to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct affecting NSU.
