NSU’s Phi Delta Chi Fraternity Volunteers at Ronald McDonald House
Members of the NSU College of Pharmacy’s Phi Delta Chi professional pharmacy fraternity volunteered with the Adopt-A-Meal program at the Fort Lauderdale Ronald McDonald Charity House on July 30, 2015. The fraternity’s Beta Lambda chapter prepared and organized lunch for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at the nearby hospitals.
Members prepared food in the Ronald McDonald House commercial kitchen for at least 30-40 people which included lunch for the TV show crew “Operation Build,” volunteers and families. After the meal was prepare, the group had an opportunity to meet with the families. Phi Delta Chi is happy to be part of the Ronald McDonald Charity House and its mission statement, which is to provide “home-away-from-home.”
