NSU’s Miniaci Performing Arts Center to Host Human Trafficking Documentary – I AM JANE DOE, Sept. 23
Broward County’s Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC) in collaboration with the Florida Council Against Sexual Violence, Florida Department of Health, Friends of NJCC and NOVA Coalition for Research and Education Against Trafficking and Exploitation is pleased to present the ground breaking informative documentary: I AM JANE DOE. The documentary chronicles the epic battle that several American mothers are waging on behalf of their middle-school daughters, victims of sex-trafficking on Backpage.com, the adult classifieds site that for years was part of the Village Voice. These mothers have stood up on behalf of thousands of others, fighting back and refusing to take no for an answer. It is a gut-wrenching human story and fresh look at a social and legal issue that affects every community in America.
Date: Sat, September 23, 2017
Time: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM EDT
