NSU’s Jacksonville SEC to Host Florida Diversity Council Chapter Meeting, May 15

On May 15, NSU’s Jacksonville Student Educational Center will host the Jacksonville chapter meeting of the Florida Diversity Council. The speaker for the meeting, which will take place during 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm, will be Audrey Newman, who will discuss Alternative Perspectives in Training. The meeting is free but reservations are required.

Newman is a respected coach and consultant in the field of education and training who overcame severe learning disabilities. She has practiced as an instructor and coach at training facilities across Colorado and Florida for more than 20 years.

She is striving to convey her theories to other educators in all fields through the “Alternate Perspective of Training” Series of conversational lectures. Her goal is to encourage trainers and educators to engage and trust their instincts as well as statistics, tests, and scientific proofs instead of relying solely on the latter techniques. Currently, Newman works as a Special Projects and Events Manager and provides consulting and education.

For more information about the Jacksonville Diversity Council and to RSVP, call (904) 245-8912 or visit www.floridadiversitycouncil.org.  The meeting will be held at NSU’s Jacksonville location at 6675 Corporate Center Parkway, Suite 115.  For additional information about NSU contact Samantha Gaulden by telephone at (904) 245-8910 or by email at sg871@nova.edu or visit http://www.nova.edu/sec/jacksonville/.
