Realizing Potential: NSU’s Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship Receives $10,000 Grant from The UPS Foundation
Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship received a $10,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, which drives global citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS (NYSE:UPS).
The grant will be used to provide scholarships to academically gifted but financially disadvantaged undergraduate students who aspire to business careers and who have a desire to support their communities.
“We truly appreciate this grant which enables us to provide scholarships to deserving students as part of NSU’s Realizing Potential campaign,” said J. Preston Jones, D.B.A., dean of NSU’s Huizenga Business College. “Just as important is the long-term relationship that UPS has shared with us which has benefited both of us in so many ways.”
Established in 1951 and based in Atlanta, GA, The UPS Foundation identifies specific areas where its backing clearly impacts social issues. In support of this strategic approach, THE UPS Foundation has identified the following focus areas for giving: volunteerism, diversity, community safety and the environment.
In 2015, UPS and its employees, active and retired, invested more than $110 million in charitable giving around the world. The UPS Foundation can be found on the web at UPS.com/foundation. To get UPS news directly, visit: pressroom.ups.com/RSS.
