NSU’s DKO and AAUW Walk support Seventh Annual College Bride’s Walk against Domestic and Dating Violence
The NSU Chapters of Delta Kappa Omicron (DKO) and the American Association of University Women (AAUW) partnered with Barry University to support the 7th Annual College Brides Walk. Walkers donned bridal wear to draw attention and awareness to issues regarding dating and domestic violence. This past February, representatives from NSU’s DKO and AAUW joined with more than 1,500 representatives from other universities, high schools, and community organizations to walk from Barry University to Johnson and Wales’ campus in North Miami Beach.
Additionally, workshops on dating and domestic violence were provided. DKO and AAUW look forward to participating in this annually. You can find more information about this annual event online (www.collegebrideswalk.com).
