NSU’s College of Pharmacy Conducts Diabetes Screenings
NSU College of Pharmacy students conduct glucose screenings and surveys in Palm Beach during American Diabetes Month
As part of American Diabetes Month, NSU’s College of Pharmacy (COP) Palm Beach Campus paired with the Diabetes Coalition for a night of community outreach on Nov. 14. A large group of members from the American Pharmacy Association Palm Beach visited to the Palm Beach Outlets, where COP students provided diabetes surveys, glucose screenings, and blood pressure screenings. They collected more than 100 completed surveys and conducted approximately 200 glucose screenings for attendees. It was a positive community outreach experience for students, faculty and attendees, and COP looks forward to additional community outreach events.
