Highlights of the month-long celebration included the grand opening of a new photo exhibit documenting Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech and the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom; a Soul Food cooking demo and tasting; the Strengths of the Black Family series featuring talks on Hip Hop and Black Love; African and urban funk dance classes; a one-man show about Langston Hughes; and much, much more!
