Now in their seventh year, the Global Awards focus on the most innovative, creative and trend-changing contributors in the care, IT innovation and medical tourism fields. Twenty-eight individuals and organizations were recognized in 2017.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive such a prestigious award on a global platform,” said Dr. Haffizulla. “Receiving this award in London takes me to a place to which I yearned to travel since my mother trained there as a nurse in her teenage years. She and many of my colleagues, friends and family continue to inspire and embolden me to evoke change that makes a positive impact on our global community. I am now thrilled to continue these efforts as we build an innovative new medical school focused on community and global engagement at Nova Southeastern University.”

“With her deep roots in the community and her passion for making connections – both locally and globally – to improve the health care continuum, Dr. Haffizulla is well deserving of this honor,” added Johannes W. Vieweg, M.D., FACS, founding dean of the NSU College of Allopathic Medicine.
