At a gala celebrating the six year anniversary of Ciudad Weston Newspaper on Friday, May 9 at the Signature Grand in Davie, six outstanding community and business leaders were recognized with the “Emerald Heart Award”, created to recognize excellence and outstanding performance in the business and non-profit community. One of the award recipient was our very own Executive Director of the Office of International Affairs, Anthony DeNapoli, Ed.D.  We congratulate him on receiving this special honor.

Ciudad Weston Newspaper was honored at the gala by a City of Weston Proclamation, presented by City Commissioner Angel Gomez on behalf of the Mayor Daniel J Stermer. The event also featured Master of Ceremony Adriana Delgado, Anchor News of TELEMUNDO T51, the Musical Band “Nando and his Digital Band” and the Miss Latina Organization.

More than 400 people were in attendance at this event, including City Commissioners of the City of Weston, Davie and Doral, as well as, non-profit organizations including the Americas Community Center, Mujeres Latinas, American Association of University Women, League of Women Voters, Venezuelan Business Club, Weston, and Pembroke Pines Chamber of Commerce, among others.
