NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education Attends Texas Association of Future Educators Summit

Luke

Luke Williams, Director of the Fischler Academy at NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, recently attended the Texas Association of Future Educators Summit in Houston Texas.  Over 1,500 students from across the Lone Star State attended this event, where students participated in various competitions, breakout sessions and activities related to the world of Education.

The Texas Association of Future Educators, a co-curricular statewide non-profit (501 c3) student organization, was created to allow young men and women the opportunity to explore the teaching profession. The organization was founded in 1984 to provide the best and brightest high school and middle school students in Texas with the necessary knowledge to make informed decisions about pursuing careers in education.

Williams attended the event to showcase FCE’s new flagship program, The Fischler Academy. The Fischler Academy is an experiential, project-driven, mastery-based program combining cutting-edge teaching pedagogies in a highly personalized learning environment. It is a combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree program designed for traditional first-time-in-college students who wish to become teacher leaders.
