Alumni Spotlight: NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education Alumna Selected by TheBestSchools.org as one of 10 finalists
Ashley Greenway, graduate of NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler College of Education, has been selected by TheBestSchools.org as one of ten finalists for the $20,000 Escalante–Gradillas Prize for Best in Education. This annual award recognizes outstanding K–12 educators, awarding $10,000 to the winning teacher and $10,000 to the winner’s school.
Greenway is the recipient of more than 45 grants and has received national and state recognition for her integration of STEM learning, including the 2016 Allen Distinguished Educator Award, the DENny Award, Georgia STEM Laureate and Teacher of the Year.
Ashley received her master’s degree from the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education in 2009 and is currently teaching at the elementary level in Rome, Georgia.
The winner and runners-up for the prize will be announced Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at TheBestSchools.org website.
