NSU’s New International Travel Registration Program
All NSU faculty, staff, and students traveling outside of the United States and its territories on university-related business or study are required to utilize the university’s new travel registration program, effective July 1, 2013. This multi-step program has been designed to identify any health and safety issues of international travel and to ensure that staff, faculty, and students can be reached in the event of an emergency.
As per the International Travel Registration Policy, faculty and staff must follow the steps below in preparation for international travel:
1. Complete the ARIBA travel authorization process (if applicable).
2. Complete the Travel Registration Process (via Florida Independent Colleges and Universities Risk Management Association, Inc. accessible from the Office of International Affairs’ Web page)
3. Register with the U.S. Department of State Smart Traveler Program (U.S. citizens and permanent residents only, after all travel arrangements have been confirmed.)
Failure to complete the travel registration process will result in the non-issuance of airline tickets and denial of travel-related expense reimbursements. You must register through this process even if your airline ticket was not issued through NSU’s Travel Office, Universal Travel, Inc.
To begin the travel registration process or to access information for student travelers, visit www.nova.edu/internationalaffairs/travelreg/index.html.
