NSU Women’s Basketball Coach Gains First Inclusion into WBCA Victory Club

Women’s Basketball head coach LeAnn Freeland

Nova Southeastern University women’s basketball head coach LeAnn Freeland was recognized on Monday, March 28, as a member of the 2016 WBCA Victory Club.

In all during this past season, 58 member coaches of the association reached specific victory levels, beginning with the 200-win mark. Freeland reached that plateau on Jan. 16 against Florida Southern. Her current overall mark in 209-73 in nine years as a collegiate head coach.

Freeland also earned her 100th victory this year as the head coach of NSU, on Nov. 21 at Saint Leo. After five complete seasons in Fort Lauderdale, she is 120-38, with three South Region titles, three Sunshine State Conference regular season championships and two SSC tournament crowns. This season, she earned her second consecutive SSC Coach of the Year award as well.
