NSU University School Junior Achievement Fellows Earn Top Awards in Final Competition of the Year
Congratulations to the NSU University School Junior Achievement Fellows who brought home top awards from the JA Fellows Annual Competition! The team, named Alpha Necessities, won first place for Best Trade Booth Display, second place for Company of the Year, and third place for their Annual Report.
The team’s product, the Car Can, is a portable trash can that fits conveniently into the cup holder of a car’s console. It can be used to throw away small items such as receipts, tissues, and wrappers. In the first month of sales, the team sold 1,100 Car Cans to AutoNation. We are so proud of our students’ success in the JA Fellows program and look forward to seeing them continue to excel in competitions to come!
JA Fellows is a leadership and entrepreneurship experience for students in grades 9-12. Students in the program develop the skills necessary to conceptualize, capitalize, and manage their own small business. Mentored by representatives from NSU University School as well as top professionals, JA Fellows have the opportunity to gain insight into market research and financial and business management.
