NSU Track and Field Garners Multiple Individual Peach Belt Conference Awards
Nova Southeastern University track and field team received multiple awards over the weekend at the Peach Belt Conference Championships, hosted by the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. On Saturday, April 23 the Sharks received the PBC Men’s Track and Field Coach of the Year, Freshman Field Athlete of the Year, and Freshman Track Athlete of the Year awards.
Head Coach Bryan Hagopian was called up to the podium by PBC Commissioner David Brunk to redeem the 2016 PBC Men’s Track and Field Coach of the Year trophy for leading a successful season for the Sharks and for displaying the best sportsmanship example throughout. During the 2013-14 season Hagopian received the PBC Women’s Track and Field Coach of the Year award as well. Hagopian has a great record as head coach of NSU’s cross country teams as well, as he also received the men’s coach of the year honors during the 2012-13 season.
