NSU to Host Mobile Vet Center on Fort Lauderdale Campus, June 12

Nova Southeastern University is proud to be hosting a Mobile Vet Center (MVC) on our main campus from 10 am – 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 12. The MVC will be stationed between NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library and the Carl DeSantis Building on Ray Ferrero Jr. Blvd.

The MVC, which is a converted motor coach, was created by the Department of Veteran Affairs to help our nation’s veterans transition from military to civilian life. These rolling assistance centers bring help to those who need it most.

Each MVC includes confidential counseling space for direct service provision as well as a state of the art satellite communications package that includes fully encrypted teleconferencing equipment, access to all VA systems, and connectivity to emergency response systems. Vet Center staff regularly collaborates with VA partners to create a single VA Footprint at events to ensure access to all available VA services and benefits.

Veterans in the South Florida community or family members of a veteran, who are interested and would like more information, are encouraged to contact Angela Yehl at 954-262-8299 or email: yehl@nova.edu.
