NSU to Host Conference on Child Abuse Awareness, Nov. 23
NSU’s Health Professions Division is hosting an Interdisciplinary Leadership Conference on Child Abuse on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Steele Auditorium of the Terry Building located on the NSU main campus.
This day-long event will bring together leading experts from the education, legal and outreach communities, who will gather to discuss child abuse. The event will consist of lectures and presentations and will culminate with a multidisciplinary child abuse panel featuring leading experts from several agencies to discuss child abuse and prevention.
The event is free and open to anyone in the South Florida community who works with children, including physicians, nurses, social workers, law enforcement officials, school counselors, teachers or administrators and anyone else who has been affected by or is involved in preventing child abuse.
