NSU to Host “A Day For Children” Health Fair, Sept. 21
NSU will again welcome children and their families as the “A Day for Children” health fair celebrates 12 years of service to the community! Children 15 years of age and under (including infants and toddlers) and their families are invited to NSU’s main campus in Davie, 3301 College Ave., on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a fun filled, health conscious day.
NSU’s Health Care Centers will be providing FREE assessments for hearing and balance, vision, speech-language, dental health, nutrition tips, and more.
Providers, organizations, and companies from all across Broward County including – Children’s Services Council, Hungry Howie’s, Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, Florida KidCare, Florida Blue, Proctor and Gamble, Broward 211, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital, and Special Olympics Florida are just a few of the many, many organizations that will be on hand to answer questions related to your child’s health and well-being.
Recipient of the Broward Family Life magazine’s 2014 Broward Family Favorite award, “A Day For Children” will also feature games, a bounce house, storybook characters, food, and other supervised activities. The Broward Sheriff’s Office and Crimestoppers will provide free fingerprinting and ID cards and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and the Davie Fire Department will provide free child car seat installation demonstrations. NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will be on-hand to provide library cards to children and their parents. Children will also have an opportunity to receive FREE haircuts provided by AVEDA.
