NSU to Hold Vigil for Marjory Stoneman Douglas Shooting Victims on One-Year Anniversary of Tragedy
Nova Southeastern University students, faculty and staff honor and remember the 17 victims lost one year ago at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, NSU will be holding a candlelight vigil Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 5 – 6 p.m at the Student Affairs Building – Side Patio on the Davie/Fort Lauderdale campus.
NSU professor Scott Poland, Ed.D., will serve as the keynote speaker. Poland is an internationally renowned expert on school shootings.
We extend this invitation to the local community, seeing as the effects of this tragedy continues to resonate throughout Broward County. We will continue to stand together to remember: the victims, their stories, and their names. If you have any questions, please contact Zaver Moore, Graduate Assistant for Student Counseling Services, at CounselorInResidence@nova.edu for more information.
