NSU Students Tear Down Wall of Hate

Located in front of the Alvin Sherman LibraryOn Thursday, January 30, Unity Week was culminated with the tear down of the Wall of Hate,  located in the Library Quad.  The wall was constructed by students throughout the week to symbolize their stand against hate.

The ceremony featured a vocal performance from the Riff Tides Acapella group, cultural performances from various student organizations, a performance from the Sharkettes, and poems shared by current students. Michelle Manley, director of Student Media, gave a brief history of the origin of the Wall of Hate on campus and how students wanted to bring it back this year.

Check out the video of the Wall of Hate coming down here.

Also you can follow the Office of Student Activities’  Instagram account, @NSUStuAct  to see other photos, videos of the ceremony and the other events that took place over the course of Unity Week.
