Pride Bite: COM Student’s Hand-walking Skills on Display at Relay for Life to benefit American Cancer Society
Community service in action: Ashwin Kalyandurg, a second-year student in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, was recognized for his noble effort to walk on his hands for more than 10 hours during NSU’s annual Relay for Life event that benefits the American Cancer Society.
Kalyandurg, who performed this feat by walking on his hands in front of the quad in front of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library, accomplished this quest to support the brother of one of his closest friends who in currently undergoing cancer treatment.
His efforts helped to raise $2000 for the American Cancer Society.
